This East Hampton home became as light and energetic as its owner. Neutralizing the home in a layer of white allowed the color inside to become the supporting cast, so that the color outside could be the main act.
THIS HOME IS PERFECTLY SITUATED TO CAPTURE THE MORNING SUNRISE AS WELL AS THE GOLDEN SETTING SUN.
Since this cliffside summer retreat has so many experiences during the day, I wanted to follow through with environmental destinations sprinkled throughout the house to experience each in its own way.
Using humble materials like linen and jute, bamboo and concrete, I wanted to speak to the relaxed nature of the home, as well as to the levity of a beach home. Nothing is being proven in this home,
IT’S JUST A QUIET PLACE TO SPEND A FEW MONTHS WATCHING THE SUN ON THE WATER OVER COCKTAILS WITH FRIENDS WHILE DEER EAT EVERYTHING IN THE FRONT YARD.
